![]() ![]() It also has the ability to teleport at random times. This monster appears to resemble a skinny humanoid with the head of a crow. This comes pretty easily towards the beginning of the game when you’re threatened only by the first monster, but it comes to be a little more challenging with the addition of the second monster. If stealth doesn’t work out for you, you can also choose to fight back against the monsters by burning them with your flashlight. I feel like it can be really hit or miss though, as sometimes the monsters will patrol the area looking for you, and other times they won’t make an effort to at all. I think that the stealth in this game is done quite well, giving the player enough information not to get caught by the monsters, but still managing to be suspenseful. Throughout the game, you’ll see plenty of these monsters and have to use stealth to evade them. Despite those limitations, Tequila Works still managed to make the monsters charming in a sort of way. Keep in mind that this is a T-rated game by the way. The monster designs in this game aren’t exactly the most frightening, but I feel like they fit very well with the game’s visual style, as well as the point of view that the game takes place from. It appears as a slimy, humanoid creature with an upside down face that I can’t help but relate to Oogie Boogie. This is where the game really starts.Īfter collecting the key from the Janitor’s desk, you’ll encounter the first monster of the game. Seeing that it’s locked, she sneaks into the Janitors office outside to retrieve the key. Sally ventures on and notices her cousin through the window of her school. The city is a complete ghost town, and many of the buildings have been damaged or destroyed. After being chased off by some bullies who make fun of Sally for continuously looking for her cousin, she takes a tram into the city where she hopes to find Emily. It’s a style that I haven’t quite seen in any other game, which makes GYLT beautiful in its own way. The game takes on a graphical style similar to movies such as Coraline. GYLT starts off with the Introduction of the main protagonist Sally in search of her cousin Emily that went missing a few months ago. So, is the game any good? Let’s talk about it. A game in which you play as a young school girl named Sally in search of her younger cousin Emily, who along the way will have to navigate through a nightmarish version of her home town filled with monsters and mysterious figures.
